One week before class starts, the professor who was going to teach my senior capstone quit and went to Duke. Who can blame him? But a week before class starts? I was counting on this guy to write me a recommendation.

Naturally, all the small seminars are filled.

Unless they decide to add a series of new classes to spring semester, I won't be graduating this year at this rate either. I'm seriously pissed.

Find the guy in the online directory at duke and politely e-mail him and ask him to write you a recommendation. If you satnd out half as much as I expect you do, he'll be happy to do it.
