White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan **** or ***** - Really took me awhile to get into this one like I am now.
Best Song: My Doorbell or Instinct Blues
Devil`s Rejects - Soundtrack **** - Really well done soundtrack that heads in an opposite direction from the last.
Best Song: Allman bros. - Midnight Rider or Terry Reid - Seed of Memory
be your own Pet - Handmade Single of Damn damn leash ***** - I bought this from the merchandise table at Peabody`s right as soon as they finished there set and i still cherish it. God bless this band.

Electrelane - Axes ***** - Wow there`s been alot of high scorers for this year. Played right after BYOP and I actually found their album on the net sometime later and if listened to as a complete unit it`s damn good. It`s like classical/punk. Who would`ve known?
Best Song: Those pockets are people/The partisan
At The Drive-In - This statsion is non-operational *** - Kind of lacking in some spots but then there`s tracks that`ll really make up for it. The Smiths cover "this night has opened my eyes"was extremely well done. The DVD with videos was a great addition.
Best Song: besides the Relationship Of Command tracks "This night has opened my Eyes" cover
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor **** - Man good to hear these guys back! The last album really was quite bad and they make up for it here
Best Song: The deepest blues are black or Virginia moon
Animal Collective - Feels *** or **** - Stumbled onto this album by a chance recommendation. You`ve got my attention guys, don`t prove me wrong next album.
Best Song: Grass without a doubt
Mars Volta - Scabdates ** or *** - Man you can`t hear the crowd at all on this which is the point of releasing a live album really. It takes the fan out of the album. You guys really had me then dropped the ball on this.
Best Song: Concertina
Lightning Bolt - Hypermagic Mountain *** - They ride the skies, THEY ARE LIGHTNING BOLT.
Best Song: Captain Caveman

Autolux - Future Perfect *** - Opened for NIN and intrigued me a little. Had a Sonic Youth meets My Bloody Valentine sound which is obviously RIGHT up my alley but there was like three or four tracks that even interested me on this album. They`re onto something I know they are, just give em some more time.

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds ***** - Damn this creeped right up on me. First heard it and it put me to sleep more or less execpt a few tracks. After growing bored with those i started listening to the album again and it REALLY started to grow on me. There`s not a bad song on this whole album.

Pink Floyd - Meddle **** - Just really gave this one a listen to this year and it`s got everything, the rock out floyd (one of these days) the mellow (a pillow of winds) bluesy (fearless, seamus) the experimental floyd (echoes at it`s 23 minute-ness). Love the cover too of just a puddle with rain drops in it. Don`t really know why I like it so much.

Tegan And Sara - So Jealous *** or **** - Still getting into this one.
Best Song: Speak Slow
Tegan And Sara - If It Was You *** or **** - Took a chance on this and was pleasantly surprised.

N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton **** - Me getting into rap, something I kinda never swore I would. but there`s some damn good songs on here.

N.W.A - Niggaz4life *** or **** - NWA getting all hard and flexing their intimidation muscle.

N.W.A - Greatest Hits **** - Damn third NWA this year. Got almost all the highlights. Some more i`d throw on though.

Easy-E - Easy Duz It *** - Not as good as his other I have, still kind of getting into it.

Easy-E - It`s On (Dr. Dre) 187 Um Killa **** or ***** - Suggested by Steve who more or less guaranteed i`d like it and damned if I don`t. The first rap album i`ve played out loud in my room complete without skipping tracks, on repeat even. Great shit, damn Dre done pissed Easy off.

Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power **** - Far Beyond Driven used to be my Pantera but this deffinently inched in.

Beach Boys - Friends/ 20 20 *** - I think Friends sucks but 20 20 was a great album.

Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention - We`re Only In It For The Money **** or ***** - Original punk. Fucking with hippies in the summer of love.
Best Song: What`s The Ugliest Part Of Your Body? or Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance
Frank Zappa - Lumpy Gravy *** or **** - I actually would`ve liked this album more if it was actually seperated by songs and not just side a and b but oh well not like Zappa wasn`t normally different.
Best Song: the instrumental of Take your clothes off
Frank Zappa - You Are What You Is *** - Thought this would be as good as we`re only in it and was wrong but it`s deffinently got it`s moments, oh god does it. This summer I had The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing and Heavenly Bank Account on repeat in my car all day. Cracks me up everytime I hear those tracks.

Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me Soundtrack ***** - GODDAMN this movie is great, the songs perfectly match whatever is happenning and it`s much darker than the show`s soundtrack. Good lord this show and movie fucking hooked me this year.
Best Song: Moving Through Time or..... damn that`s a tough one.
Videodrome - Soundtrack *** - Great creepy ass music that can easily double as a Halloween soundtrack.

Le Tigre - Le Tigre *** or **** - Love that sarcastic as fuck Kathleen Hanna voice on The The Empty.
Best Song: Deceptacon guaranteed to get a fucking party started.
Leonard Cohen - The Future *** - Some of what I consider Cohen`s best.
Best Song: actually hard to pick, let`s say Democracy.
Modern Lovers - Modern Lovers *** - Very Velvet Underground during their LOADED album phase.

Suicide - Suicide *** or **** - I dare you to sit in a darkened room with your eyes closed and listen to Frankie Teardrop.
Best Song: Frankie Teardrop by far but don`t count out Cheree.
Residents - Meet The Residents *** - Gotta love that weird ass Zappa-ish music.

Rilo Kiley - Take Offs And Landings ***** - Every track is flawless. By far my fave Rilo and one of my fave albums. I think I personally fell in love with Jenny Lewis after hearing this.
Best Song: PLEASE don`t make me pick.
Rilo Kiley - The Execution Of All Things *** - The Good That Won`t Come Out, you could end album right there and it`s the first track.

Nico - Desertshore *** - Nice different sound of a completely pipe organ album.
Best Song: Janitor Of Lunacy
Nico - The End **** or ***** - So depressing, so melodic, so ahead of it`s time. Features cover of The Doors - The End. One of the spookiest albums i`ve heard, even rivals the manic depression of Kid A. That`s a fucking feat.
