To the shores of Botany Bay
Okay, maybe it's not that extreme, but I *am* on my way to the shores of Botany Bay (see picture below of the plane actually landing near Botany Bay...)
Off to visit Bruce, who has been in Aus on a project since the beginning of Feb. His stay there was extended another month, so we decided I needed to visit.
I have a deep desire to see pademelons*, roos, and cockatoos again - I actually miss the place, which is nuts since I could hardly wait to leave when I lived there.
* No, it's not a fruit....it's a cute little marsupial
The far north is in the monsoon season, so I guess we will mainly stay in southern New South Wales - should be fun...and warm and sunny! This has been a hard pdx winter for me this year.
