Course not :) Sad but true, we are few and far between now. I'm a pretty old school fan - I think it was my first fandom, certainly the first thing I remember looking up on the internet! The later series could never compare, imo.
And here we are discussing Digimon on a Yu-Gi-Oh! friending meme. XD It was definitely my first fandom, or so I like to believe. The first series I ever roleplayed online in Yahoo! chat back in the day. So it means a lot to me. And I agree on the later series, they could never compare to 01/02.

I watch mostly shounen and shoujo anime because I'm too darn squeamish for the more grown-up stuff. If you got some friends for game recs, try grabbing one of the World Championship titles for the YGO series. I prefer 07 over 09, but I hear 08 is really great. Loads fun. As for other games, the stuff I like are all grinding games, so people tend to gag at my recs. Etrian Odyssey, Disgaea, etc.
I use to play Magic the Gathering too, it led to Pokemon, which eventually led to Yu-Gi-Oh! :) And yay for Digimon :D I haven't touched Neopets in a while, but I didi play it for a long time.
Ooh, I was wondering which of the many YuGiOh games to go for - I'll definately look out for a World Championship one. I'd heard of Disgaea, hadn't realised it was out on the DS... it sounds interesting. I think I'll check that out too.
