Personal History: Jason was born in Southern England on March 3rd, to Jeremy and Morgan Richland. His father was the wizard of the family, and his mother hadn't actually known anything about his father's powers until Jason got his letter to Hogwarts. Whoops? What a shock it was, to find out that not only was he was wizard, but his father was as well! Since he'd been raised as a Muggle, everything about the magical world enticed Jason -- that is, until he actually got to Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat agonized over him before placing him in Gryffindor (rather reluctantly). Once he'd attended the classes, he had to admit -- magic wasn't all that it cracked up to be.
That was, magic except for Potions! Now, Potions was something that he'd always been able to understand, and despite Professor Snape hating his guts, he did wonderfully in the subject. Once he was able to try Divination, he did so, and found that he had a knack for that as well. The rest of his classes fell by the wayside, and Professors found that while they liked him well enough, they absolutely treaded him being their student. It wasn't uncommon for them to yell at him three or four times per class, things like "Jason, pay attention!" or "Jason, stop drooling on the begonias!"
When it came time for him to choose a career, Professor McGonagall was less than thrilled with his marks. She'd known that he could do much better than he had, but with his marks? She couldn't place him for anything -- not that he'd wanted anything like an Auror or something anyway. He'd considered doing something with the Ministry, but honestly, he lacked the ambition or interest to work for a bunch of numbskulls. He wanted to do something with his strengths.
Then?
He remembered the Apothecary. They'd posted a wonderful little sign saying that their top Brewer had died mysteriously, and while he'd thought it was a terribly thing at the time, he ended up praising Merlin for that particular death! After all, if not for that poor little old man keeling over into the cauldron of Shrinking Solution (which had made the poor little old man littler, bless his soul), Jason wouldn't have ended up being the Brewer that he was today!
Personality: Jason spent about three quarters of his time at Hogwarts with his head stuck in the clouds; hence the reason that he wasn't a terrific student. He probably could have done much better than he did, because he's quite a brilliant young man, but alas, the time and energy that it would have required was just not for him. He much preferred to think of Professor Sullivan dancing around the room in a tutu -- wait, she'd probably done that... not that he'd paid attention, but still. The fact remains that he doesn't like to pay attention to things that just don't intrigue him, and if he gets bored with something, he ignores it.
He does have his brilliant moments, but he tends to be ignored by others because of his tendency to lie. A lot. About everything under the sun. Honestly, if you went up to this boy and asked him what colour the sky was, you'd have a good chance of getting an answer like 'pink', just because he can.
Jason actually has great insight into life in general, despite the fact that he doesn't tend to use it or display it. He tends to know when he's going against whatever he should be doing, like studying for a test instead of going to the dungeons to learn how to brew the Draught of Living Death, but that doesn't deter him, especially when it comes down to doing something he wants to do as opposed to what he should do.
He has a very quick sense of humour, though those around him don't always understand it. Sometimes it's just weird, and other times it's so riddled with things that only someone like him would know about that people just give him odd looks and go about their business. He doesn't like to be serious very often, mostly because seriousness scares him. He knows that if he's serious about something, he'll likely do something to screw up -- so he just keeps it all locked on the humourous side.
Jason likes people, but people don't tend to get him. Because of this, he's learned to not generally approach people -- instead, he lets them come to him, and then he jabbers their ears off with his randomness and -- Jason-ness.
And as for his general attitude? Well, he tends to put people at ease with the complete oafishness that he exhibits. Some people walk into a room and command it; Jason walks into a room, trips on his feet, and makes everyone laugh. However, he knows this about himself, and he embraces it. Sometimes he even uses it to his advantage, knowing that people will underestimate him if they think that he's careless (which, he is).
Physical Description: Jason stands at 6'1", with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He's of average build, though there isn't too much muscle on him.

Hobbies and talents:
1. Music - Jason is a sucker for music. Any kind of music. He enjoys playing it as well as listening to it.
2. Art - Jason loves to paint/draw/colour/do anything involving creativity.
Weaknesses:
1. Clumsy - Jason is inherantly clumsy; if there is something to drop, fumble, or screw up, he will be the one doing it.
2. Daydreamer - Jason is constantly being distracted by shiny!things, or really, anything to keep his mind off working.
3. Argumentative - If there is some inkling of something to debate about? Jason will jump into the foray with both feet.
4. Pathalogical Liar - About nine-tenths of the things that come from his mouth are completely untrue.
