Yes, the mid-terms WERE hard...

1) 24

I remember enjoying the first season of 24 very much. I watched it all on DVD in the course of a few days. I caught most of the second season, but not all, and not the ending, due to the way networks program their content. Fucking networks.

For the hell of it, I watched the season, and apparently series, finale last night. It was okay, but the plot twists, if you can even call them that, were lame and predictable. I suppose there may have been earlier information about the various characters that would've misdirected more faithful viewers, but even so: lame. Especially the final one. So completely obvious, and such a cop out. Especially if this was (as it seemed to be, and MUST be, really) the series finale.

2) Senate Compromise

Unfortunately, my analysis of this does not differ significantly from the above. ;p

More seriously: this was a stop-gap measure, a delaying tactic. This will come to a head again, but more so, when the next Justice kicks it. Whether that happens before or after the mid-term election will probably have significant impact on how it all plays out.

3) Pants

I am still required to wear pants to work, much to my continuing dismay.

That is all.
