I'm pretty sure we haven't met (I'm terrible with names/faces though, so it's possible that we met in passing, but it wasn't significant enough for me to remember). I read Warren (S-H)'s flist on a regular basis, so that's how I came across your journal.

I used to play in the Camarilla games, which I finally realized weren't fun anymore, so I stopped going. Actually, same with a lot of other games. It used to be, I'd be LARPing every weekend, and if I wasn't, I was thinking about it.

I'm finding, though, more and more, that I can enjoy life more by doing interesting things, than pretending to do them. It's more work, but also more satisfying. Besides, for LARPs to be enjoyable for me these days, I have to be so involved and active and consumed by them that it's often more work than play. ;p

Ahh, so you know big huggy Warren. ^_^ Well that's awesome. Do you come to Downtimes at all? I'm there almost every wednesday for Gotham Nights (Vampire) and Knights (Changeling).

I do agree that it can be work if you really throw yourself into them, but the way I've been playing I don't even worry about XP or anything like that. I just have my characters and play them, making sure to get them in as much trouble as possible each game. My second or third game with Cassie I started a scheme that snowballed into filling a volkswagon beetle with chocolate pudding and parking it in front of the MoMA, and my first game with Andy I managed to get her stabbed three times in the chest with flying knives and be the victim of an exploding toilet. ^^; So yes, it's fun and I don't care what happens; as long as my characters don't die I'm fine with it. ^_^ No real work for me.

I am well aware that other people play and enjoy (or not) LARPs different ways. Just... I don't, anymore, and that's something I've come to realize more and more over the past few years.

As for Warren, yes, and I know him from the aforementioned Cam LARPs. I've also played a few sessions of GN, but haven't been to that in some time, either. I don't really play anything regularly, anymore. As I said: it's not so much what I'm into anymore.

Oh please, I'm all for random insults. My friend Elina and I make it a practice to call each other whore, bitch, cunt, and various other adjectives on a regular basis. I wouldn't have made it an option on the quiz if I thought I'd be insulted by it. I figured some people would want to plead the fifth on the "would you do me" question, so that was the third option. LOL, some people left it blank anyway, probably because they didn't want to insult me. =P
