California is very, very expensive to live in. That's one of the reasons why I live in Arizona now. Though I never lived in LA, I've been there, and I hate it. LOL. All the smog, ick. Um, I'm sure there are websites that can tell you the price of living and all that, but I wouldn't know where they are. :0\ There I go with the not helping again! *facepalm*

LOL. More smog in the UK than in LA? I don't know about that. It's pretty gross in LA. I've never had more breathing problems than I did the two days we spent with family there back when I was 18.

As far as rent and stuff for an apartment goes? Tim's family lives way more up north than LA, and it costs about $900 for a studio apartment. :0\ So from what I know, it's very, very expensive for something that's not worth the amount of money you're spending for it.

I don't know any particular websites to give you, but I'm sure there are some on the net. After all, you can find ANYTHING online. :0)

You're welcome, glad I could help. :0D

A 2 bedroom apartment in LA is going to be around $2000+ a month. Very, VERY expensive. The job front is good, but keep in mind there are a lot of other people in the city that are looking for employment. That's the lesson I learned when I moved to Flagstaff. There will be a lot available, but it might take you a while to actually get hired somewhere. I don't know about the VISA stuff, Rachel might be the one to ask about that. Hope this helps! Love you! <33333

My cousin just recently moved down to LA and from what I hear it is insanely expensive, as is any big city in California. They pay over $1,000 a month and live in a dodgy neighboorhood. It might be better if you could find a place outside of LA and commute as I've heard that's what many people do.

I think the VISA thing depends on how long you plan to stay here. I'd check with the rules of your countries gov. regarding this. Also check out this site: http://www.firstgov.gov/
and if you can't find the info listed there you can always email them with questions ;) Hope I've been of some help.
