are we the waiting?
Ok yeah. The new Green Day album is a freaking masterpiece. It comes out Sep. 21, but thanks to the lovely cats at greendayauthority.com, us superfans have a chance to hear it ahead of time and my god...this may very well be their best album. I'm trying to monitor my enthusiasm and keep myself in check b/c this could just be my enthusiasm overriding everything, but I can't help it when I get this freaking excited over a new record. I was already pumped b/c it's my favorite band coming out with a new album, but after hearing it, I'm completely blown away. I don't give a shit what music critics normally say, but their fawning over this album is well-placed b/c it's fucking worth it. Everything about it is incredible...the musicianship, the lyrics, the production...and "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is already one of the best songs I've ever heard. Even Pants is jamming out. Anyway, I'll let it speak for itself, but goddamn, I love it so much, go get it Sep. 21 or die.
