I only agree with 5% of this conclusion. Supergoober totally disagrees with the love thing. So do I. I don't need a secure guy!
These little quiz-thingys are amusing. One would have to think, "Do I really appear that way to those around me?!" I could only hope that what appears on the outside is either the same, or closely resembles, that which is on the inside. Sure, my opinions can sometimes change with my moods. But I see that happen every day with those around me. Certain subjects retain our steadfast opinions, but lighter matters tend to change with the weather.
"Self-confident"? Hardly. I've noticed that my peers tend to have more confidence in me than I do! Sometimes it's flattering, other times, it's down-right terrifying!! Enough.
Currently, I must say I'm pleased with the progress my band's making, (all-be-it a hell of a lot slower pace than I prefer) the music is very exciting, accessible, and as a result the live shows should be amazing. We'll just have to wait and see.... Yes, I would have to confess, I'm enjoying the hell out of this project. No dictators, no fights, no egos, no artificial flavors or preservatives, no restrictions on creativity or water, no shit Sherlock this is a blast! We get along great. Each tune has presented a welcome challenge. Though at times I feel like I'm using the same tactics, other times I feel I'm breaking new ground in my own playing. It would be nice to hear the finished product and conclude that I've "evolved" in my drumming. If you stay at one level, you risk being a "has-been". It's a constant drive to find something new that'll help prevent that. In the past it's been as simple as listening to a style of music you wouldn't wanna be caught listening to. (Polka?) But there's something to be learned from all of them. You just have to listen carefully and pick that which catches your ear. You'd be amazed, just open your mind and get rid of the thought that you already know you hate this music, and something will catch you off guard. I've got a lot of stuff in my "bag O tricks" that came from music I can't stand. Put it in the context of something you love, and SHA-ZAM!!! You may have just created a new approach to something. Ever put swing-jazz into heavy metal? I have. And it's worked! "NO LIMITS!" Now run along young Jedi!
O.K. The kitty is looking at me with those, "Are you going to get off the fucking computer sometime today and play mousy with me?!!!!!", eyes. Gotta go folks!
