So around 12:30 this afternoon I caved on the whole blue/green hair
thing. It was fun for a week, but seriously, I just couldn't stand it
anymore. I own too many green shirts and I was running low things to
wear. So tonight after getting home from the Taste of MN, I had my mom
help me dye it. Now I thought that I would be able to bleach the
blue/green out of it and then dye it a more sensible dark blonde/light
brown, but turns out you can't removed "crazy and rebellious" colors
out of your hair. Instead I ended up with white-blonde roots and a baby
blue/green head. It was truly a sight to behold. Needless to say my mom
and I laughed at ourselves and then went and bought some warm brown
hair dye. About a half an hour and some dyed brown skin spots later, I
was looking like a human again.
Lessons learned:
-Crazy and rebellious colors can be fun, but that fun is short lived.
-My scalp can take a lickin' and still manage not to fall off my skull.
-My mom isn't very good at putting on hair dye, but she means well.
It's nice to look in the mirror and not feel like I'm being followed by
a circus performer. ...being a circus performer is probably pretty
sweet though.
