Please allow me to preface this by saying that I am in no way intending to make light of this girl's situation . . . only a poorly written title to the article & associated inference . . .
Girl attacked by dog now fights cancer
"SASKATOON - A six-year-old girl who was mauled by a dog earlier this year, sparking a heated debate about banning dangerous pets, is now fighting brain cancer. Jaidyn Siemens-Solanik was diagnosed with brain cancer in September, exactly nine months to the day after she was attacked in Delisle by Bandit, a neighbour’s dog.
The family is questioning whether there’s a link between the attack and the tumour’s malignancy. . ."
OK, I have to admit, I had only read the headline & first paragraph when writing my preface -- turns out, it's not simply an inference . . . the "dog bit-cancer link" is actually raised as a possibility.
I guess with the election over, the media has turned to publishing articles that have only fleeting relationships with reality . . . so we're back to normal.
Excellent -- I'd been wondering about Elvis' latest hiding spot (I hear he's in Area 54 with the alien . . . and Bigfoot).
