A brief review
So, Daybreakers? Pretty good. The performances are good, the cinematography is pretty excellent, and since I don't get to say this much, the titles were pretty great too. The story itself is kind of a heavy-handed euphemism for the energy crisis, but the action is good, the dialogue is not terrible and the cinematography is nice. I have my issues with it, mostly involving the vampires on occasion acting more like zombies and a few of the subplots being resolved a fair bit too quickly, but the visuals are striking, it's very darkly funny (anyone who has seen the directing team's other movie Undead can attest to this) and all in all, I liked it. I'd give it 4/5.
