Weird day
So I didn't go to work today, because there is too much to deal with, and I could just make it all up on Monday. And instead, I just drove. I think I drove to Grand Island, but I'm not sure, because I was more interested in the journey than the destination. By the by, that destination -- or rather eventual stop -- was some strip mall or outlet mall or something that I have never to before today. And I wandered around in there, getting lost fairly quickly -- trying to figure out how to deal with the death of your best friend's brother will do that to you -- and out of the corner of my eye I saw someone who looked like Caitlin. I don't think it was her, I think it was just my subconscious fucking with me because of the day and the lack of sleep and the stress, and this wouldn't be the first time that I've seen someone important from my past that wasn't there -- go look about two years ago when I was seeing Kristina everywhere. I don't really know why I am talking about this, it just freaked me out.
By the by, I heard news today that Soundgarden is getting back together not to record new music but to rework and rerecord Chris Cornell's most recent solo album. Why? Why not just forget it exists? Soundgarden is an awesome band, and they do not deserve to be put through the ringer like this. Write some new songs, go back to your roots, and forget all about Scream or whatever it was called. While I hope that this is fake news, it may not be.
