Hey there world! QUICK HITS!
I'm currently working on the first of my civil war songs. It is tentatively called "Abolition Song" and it is a song written from the perspective of an educated slave planning a rebellion by writing a letter to his "friends up North". I don't have a name for this little project just yet but when it comes to me you guys, the world, will be the first to know.
I sent my resume to a multicultural ad agency in Dallas called Cultura. Supposedly they are hiring after landing part of the gigando Bank of America account. They are a spanish agency and I do not speak Spanish. Supposedly this isn't a problem...we'll see.
I'm going to see the Mates of State on Sunday and I am excited about it. The Happy Bullets are opening and I need to make a little demo thing to give to one of the members. They left a very nice note on the HSATRTG myspace telling us they liked our sound and want to hear more...so they will. If anyone out there reads this and has any opinion on what our five best songs are please let me know, or even our two best. I'm trying to look at it from the perspective of the masses and not just the five that I think kick the most ass. Yeah, so there's that.
I'm going to see Death Cab for Cutie in Austin on November 5th. This is two days after I turn 23. Shitballs...23.
I set a goal like 2 weeks ago to have a job by my 23rd birthday...I'm not going to extend that just yet but things at this point aren't looking awesome. BUT, there's still a lot more I can do, and will do, to expediate the job gettingness.
I wish I was going to the Austin City Limits festival this weekend. Yeppers I do.
I hate working at the YMCA. I accidentally (if that's possible) huffed some ammonia on Monday. It was really something. I had blurred vision for like an hour. I estimate I killed about one billion brain cells in that one good huff. The full story is pretty awesome but I'm not gonna put it on here right now. I'm sorry world.
