It's like a Bon Jovi song, only not in NJ
Last Friday, I had an interview. It was good. I think I did well. I think they liked me. I know I liked the place where I interviewed. I'll be posting more here when I hear something for sure.
Did I mention this interview took place in Minneapolis Yeah, it took place in Minneapolis' actually a pretty cool town. Taking this job would involve moving there. I know most of the people reading this are Cleveland-dwellers, and it's going to suck if I move away. I've got a lot of really good friends here. More than any one person deserves.
But I've moved all my life. Moving isn't the same as dying. I'll still be on IM and LJ and Facebook. Hell, I'll be in Cleveland every once in a while. There's a train that runs from Cleveland to Minnesota and back.
For now, I've really got to finish up my thesis. I'm pretty close to being done, and I'm going to finish before I move to MN, if I do get this job. I've had to quit my weekly gaming session at the LowBeyonder's place. That stinks. It's a great game.
Also, GK and I had dinner with DB and CG. We wanted to tell them first and face to face, since GK and CG carpool, and if I get this job, CG will be without carpool. I haven't talked to them in *forever* (read:About a month). We really wanted to tell them tonight, so I had to give DB this really weird "We need to talk, it's nothing bad." phone call. It, as you would expect, scared them. However, they had some stuff on their plate to night, so I couldn't just say "Haven't seen you in a while, want to grab some dinner?" I feel bad about that, but DB has promised to continue to rub it in, so I'll probably get over it pretty quick. I have now officially blogged about DB. I hope he's happy.
