FUBAR

'Kay haven't updated this in a while but I've been fairly busy with school lately.

MECE 250 is a so-so course, mostly because the prof isn't very good at explaining things and he uses too many examples. Normally examples are good but when we have no idea what he's doing or why he's doing it just makes the subject matter confusing.
CHEME 243 is slightly better, the subject is harder but the prof is better at teaching and explaining dispit his accent. The class environment seems more relaxed and informal too.

I would put links to some of the stuff I've worked on in 3dMax (which isn't much) but my computer is completly FUBAR, or at least beyond my capacity to fix. I have some sort of stupid virus that keeps installing ad-ware onto my computer and it keeps hi-jacking my browser sending me to more ads (its not just IE sometimes opening up My Computer triggers it). Ad-Aware and SpyBot so far have only managed to remove the ad-ware (which is quickly reinstalled anyway) and my virus scanner detects some trojans and deletes those but later scans reveal that they've also been reinstalled. So apparently I'm dealing with some sort of trojan/hydra that I can't kill. I'm not certain but it may have affected some of my systems other settings and data as well, my liscence for 3dMax is missing (hence why I can't show my renders), starting up takes about 5 minutes and task manager shows that at start up I'm already using up ~280mb of my page file memmory, and I can't run any movie files because only the sound works, the video is completly black.

I've been fighting this thing for about 2 weeks now (only recently has it gotten very bad) but I'm just considering formatting the damn thing. The downside is I'll loose gigs of anime, RPG source books, Warhammer rulebooks and codexes, all my school work and extra-curricular stuff. Also I'd have to get all the discs from my uncle (who assembled my computer) and reinstall everything(then test everything to make sure it works), or I could just get him to format and reinstall everything for me (but then I wouldn't see my computer for 2-3 weeks)

Last option is to just use my slow, virus filled, no-movie computer until I figure out how to fix it (or enough updates for ad-aware, spybot and AVG antivirus allows me to fix it). Well at least all my games work for now.

Cya.
