That's real nice, Common, having Will.I.Am produce your single, using clips of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech with the hook: "I have a dream that one day we're gunna work it out out out, we're gunna work it out." Aw, that's almost as inspirational as your freckles. Almost as inspirational as your kisses under the mistle. Didn't Will.I.Am produce "Fergalicious"?
That's real nice, James Mercer, how you claim your experimentation with music on your new little album was inspired by Mirah and The Microphones, who both "fuck with shit to make very interesting sounds" (Pitchforkmedia.com intrvw pgph 3). Glad to hear you're branching away from the twangy 3 minute pop song. What would Mirah have to say about the little diddy "Phantom Limb" that you're using to promote this masterpiece of an LP? Aw, a twangy 5 minute pop song. Wait, you HAVE two masterpieces already, right from the get-go, boom boom. Chances aree.....
That's real nice, Modest Mouse, how your new song--the ripped-from-radio version of which I heard on the internet--is just gross. What decade is this? Synth Violin, srsly? Can they imitate that with a Casio for Kidz Bop? Sorry I used a Kidz Bop joke, I'm just that sad.
That's real nice, Arcade Fire... actually, this new song of yours is kinda nice. Nothing epic, which is what I'd prefer, but I can't be bitter with you for making a boring song because your recent arrival to the world of music is much too appreciated. Your new album, as a whole, better shake the earth, though, or I'm leavin'.
I haven't heard Mos Def's new album, but it apparently blows the big one. That's real nice, Mos. Stop actin' like a bitch already, be a visionary. Stop actin' in general, maybe, and start making better beats to which I can bounce. But I don't want to speak too soon, or speak out of Pitchfork's ass, which I admit to doing just now. You ARE my favorite half of Black Star. And you cute.
