Finally got my computer up and running. I caught a virus, so I could't boot into Windows XP, although I was able to boot into Windows 2000. I didn't loose much since I made a backup long ago, as well as a recent back up. It took this long to get everything running again since I return late from work, and the whole process takes a lot of time. I decided that if I was going to restore everything from backup, why not start from scratch, format, create new partitions (total of 6 now), and set up new, stricter security policies. After I was satisfied with everything running smoothly, I made a "clean state backup", so I can revert back to when I know the whole system is clean.
