During the weekend my mom dragged me to my aunts house because they were having a birthday party for my five and two year old cousins -_- ( I swear the only good thing about it was the food, candy, and CAKE!!!) Anyways while I was talking to my cousin (who's a senior right now) he asked me if I had heard Linkin Park's new song. I’m not a hard core LP fan I confess I almost bought the meteora album but ripped it from my cousins cd instead :P. Anyway when I said no he played it for me on his iPod and to my surprise it was their cover for the NIN song "Wish", I heard the cover and it was ok but it will never measure up to the original! Anyway I told my cousin that he was freaking crazy that, that song was not an original but a cover of a NIN song and he was like "Actually NIN was the one who did the cover for this LP song" WTF People!!!!! From there on we had a whole discussion I swear how could LP( who came out in 96') be the originator of this song if it came out in 1992! And he even had the decency of telling me that the NIN version sucked XOOO!!!! I swear I almost smacked him right there >_< come on!!! if the original sucked then why would anyone want to cover it Dxx. It also irks me when people don't credit the original artist for their work o__<'' I mean when I was listening to Hurt on the bus some time ago some guy told me he like that song too, and when I mention Trent Reznor he was "Trent who?!!!" "Trent Reznor you know the guy who wrote the song!" he was like "WTH Johnny Cash is the one who wrote it" O_O...*ded* When I tried to correct him he was all for contradicting me, ignored him completely after that. Things like these made me wish I grew up in the 90's -_- or at least ask for real music to make its comeback once more T^T....
