The birds and the bees and the alphabet

On the way to school today something very strange happened. Right in front of the school too. It was a time of day when there are few cars on the road and few people outside of the school. I saw a pair of bright yellow wings dart through the trees and bushes right next to the building. I thought woah that is one fast bird. I looked ofr it but I couldn't find it. Maybe I was seeing things. The side effects of wearing a bright yellow coat.

ANd then three steps later i heard a squeak so i looked back, still no bird, but then I heard it again. ANd in the trash can is a squirrel. So i go closer to have a look. It is one of those cans with a top, and 4 rectangular openings 3 inches high and 18 inches wide? You can easily cover up three holes and reach in the last hole with your free arm. So i thought about it for a few seconds as I looked at the squirrel. Its skinny little body was pulsing. The tiny heart must have been pumping like crazy. The pupils dilated, and pushed itself as far down as it could. The adrenaline rush inside must have been insane. I remember a few exciting moments of my life when the adrenaline rush gave me tunnel vision. Once in the dark with mild lighting from a movie it felt as if i completely blacked out for an instant. Exciting times.
The squirrel looked up at me, it was a young one judging by its size. It didn't have a great deal of fur on its hind legs - from that distance it was really a rat with a slightly bushy tail. Have you ever seen the hands of a squirell? Rodent paws are fascinating - they've got thumbs.

Anyway as I stood there I remembered another time when we found a rabbit. And people kept handling it. It was just a tiny baby and eventually it rolled back its eyes and died, slowly twitching its tiny little back paws.

So i decided that grabbing this squirrel would probably give it a heart attack. Or better yet, give me diseases.

"It's alright little guy, I was just curious"
