Yeah ... You know what that means.
Least it wasn't the Scirocco!
And for once it was NOT my fault.
I was driving down 112th ... Going to go the back way to discount tires and it's soaked here of course.
Old lady in like, this I think she said 61 Olds Cutlass F81 Pulled out.
Okay I think ... Then she doesn't stop pulling out into my lane!
EFFFFFFF!!!! I hit the brakes and slid RIGHT into her passenger side. Bounced off, went up the curb and back onto the road.
I pulled into the nearest parking lot, and she followed suit. I got out, thinking the truck was totalled (61 Cutlass = big fins and stuff, the kind that LOVE to dig into the side of cars ... Not to mention they are built STRONG)
I looked at it, and to my disbelief ... There was NO damage to the side of the truck. The only damage was the bumper, front fender, and corner light. The rest of it took it like a champ! Not a scratch. Basically I hit her at about 25. Slid up and over the curb, back onto the road. Since her car was at an angle, it didn't sideswipe. I got out and asked if they were okay, they said yes. ANd then I checked out our damages. She called the cops, I called my parents.
My parents came and asked me what happened, I told them she pulled out into my lane. My dad wasn't and isn't mad! I figured he would be PISSED. The cop came and listened to both of our stories and told her she was at fault. She was like, what? The guy that was riding with her helped to explain it to her and totally knew it was her fault.
The cop didnt report it, said that if its under 1000 dollars of damage then they can't file a report. So we let it all go, no insurance company, she realized it was her fault, etc.
Good day. The door handle of the car RIPPED A FAT hole in the fender of the truck, and it still works! The button gets stuck in, but it can be popped out. I was like ... DANG! That's a strong door handle.
Crazy day. I'm still angry that I get in so many wrecks. At least this time it wasn't my fault. And its DEFINATELY a good thing I wasn't in the Scirocco. The door handle would have just ripped right through the windshield and door and everything. It would have been at a level JUST above the hoodline, so the first thing to hit would be the A pillar. Car would have been totalled.
I was also glad that the cop didn't check my tires. The front right one was TOTALLY bald. Probably the cause of the accident as they just locked up.
Anyways, good day yall, have fun wherever you are!
