Last night Ed and I went to the Covenant show in Middle of Nowhere, Brooklyn (we had to take 3 trains and a bus due to L construction). I had a really good time. I think it would have been even better if I hadn't been so exhausted, but I still enjoyed myself quite a bit. The event was held in a large warehouse with multiple floors and rooms. There were a bunch of different bands (besides Covenant, there was Rotersand, Imperative Reaction, Snog, among others) and lots of people. I was excited because EVERYONE came out last night (well, everyone except certain folks who are currently on an island in the south pacific). I saw friends I hadn't seen in months. I also met a couple of new people. It was shiny.
Covenant was pretty good. A good deal of the crowd didn't seem to be fans of the new album (which is definitely not their best), but they played a bunch of old stuff as well. I danced the best I could in such tight quarters. It wasn't too hard because I am very little.
After that bit was over, there was dancing, wandering, conversation, talk of monkeys with jet packs (whoo!) on the subway, and then sleep in the whee hours of the morning.
So yes, it was a good night.
