why are people are afraid to die?
i think people are afraid of things they don't know about.. and pain. like ghosts. why are people afraid of ghosts? they are an explanation for those creaky, unexplianable noises at night and so they made up ghosts. but now, theyre afraid of ghosts because you can't explain them.
likewise for death. you don't know what happens when you die so youre afraid to do it. same with being afraid of interviews or meeting new people or making a speech. you don't know how people are going to react.
why is death so scary anyway? and why do people portray it as a negative thing? is it because for the most part, it foreshadowed by pain? and yes, pain hurts. but death itself shouldnt be scary. i mean for one thing, once you die, your life ends so you can't think and really... nothing's gonna happen. unless your religious then your soul gets judged.
i think that if you know youre going to die, the thing you should be worried about are the people that will mourn you and miss you. if you can, make everyone really hate you and want you to die, then die. so at least the ones you love won't be hurt by your death.
lets say dying is an individual thing and it doesnt affect anyone, but yourself. i dont think i'm afraid to die. i am a little bit hesitant about that bit of pain that i might feel prior to death. so i don't get when people say i dont want to die. why?
