Graduation, etc.

So- I'm officially a Flagler College graduate! Woot! About damn time!!!! The weekend was fantastic. My parents came into town Thursday afternoon right when I got out of internship. They stopped by the house and FINALLY met my roommates. We hopped into the X3 and made our first stop: Sonics. After enjoying burgers and limeades we continued on to the outlet mall. I needed to get a dress for graduation and my dad was on the prowl for new golf shoes. Ten dresses later I FINALLY picked out a dress. It was plain black on top and had white polka dots from the waist down with a sash that tied in the middle and a pretty green band around the bottom of the dress. It made me happy. Dad managed to find a pair of golf shoes at Ecco, which was exciting for him. I talked to Dave while we were out. It was a good thing he didn't get a plane ticket to come because he was snowed in. After the outlet mall we went back to my house so I could grab an overnight bag. We ordered a pizza from Amici's and then went to their hotel. We were out by 11, but I was awoken by my phone ringing. I ran to the lobby and talked to Jon for about an hour and a half. Then it was back to bed.

Friday was a busy day. We woke up early to get some breakfast. Mom and I then drove to Jax Intl to pick up Aunt B. After that we drove BACK to World Golf Village and checked Aunt B in. We picked Dad up at the hotel and the four of us headed downtown. We got lunch at Columbia. Fantastic food, as always. We walked around downtown until I had to split off for graduation rehearsal. That was incredibly boring. I ended up being sandwiched between two big guys that I have never met before. One guy never talked and the other guy never shut up. An hour later I found everyone and we headed back to World Golf Village. At 7 we headed to Caddyshack. AJ met up with us there, as did Kayla. It was a great night. After dinner we all went our seperate ways. Kayla gave me a cute picture for graduation =). AJ and I headed back to the house. He met my roommates and we just hung out for a little while. AJ and I tried to get to bed early, but that plan was foiled. At 3 am my wonderful roommmate decided he was going to join us in bed. I can leave saying this much: I managed to get two guys in my bed, and I slept with my roommate. PS- he was also naked. It was an interesting night, to say the least. =)

Saturday was a crazy day! We woke up early to get ready for graduation. AJ and I met up with my parents before 8. Isplit off from them to go to the Rotunda. I met up with virtually everyone that I normally talked to. At 9 they told us to line up and the procession began. The guy next to me never shut the heck up. At least he kept me amused. The ceremony itself was short. We graduated 150, which is MUCH smaller than my high school graduation. My name was totally butchered going across the stage, but at least we got a kick out of it. My last name was pronounced "sire" as opposed to "sir" and my middle name, Sharon, was mispronounced as well. Instead of it sounding like "Share on" it sounded like "Sha rone" Who knew I was part black... Anywho- we went to the reception in the dining hall for a little noshing. I met up with Dr. Lidh and asked if he would write me a recommendation letter. He said of course =). I need to email him this week, along with the speaker at graduation (for a little networking). After graduation we went to Applebee's for lunch. Then it was nap time. We napped for a few hours before getting some dinner at Amici's at 630. Everyone met my family and AJ and they all were proud of me. The food was good, as usual. After dinner we split off. Everyone at the house was playing beer pong. I watched for a while. Then the fun came-> Alex and I did our very first keg stands! It was actually pretty fun. Josh was cracking jokes the whole time so I was laughing more often than I was drinking any beer. Ah well. I had to get to bed early because I was taking Aunt B back to the airport the next day.

Sunday was laid back for a while. I met up with the family for brunch. At 8 Aunt B and I split from Mom and Dad. I got her to the airport on time. I headed back to St. Augustine to see what AJ was up to. I took him downtown and showed him around. We went to the Lightner Museum, the Castillo, Pizzalley's, and walked all of St. George Street. Then we headed back to the hosue to chill. Napped and watched some football. I was very mad about the game. I then got ready for the holiday party at work. AJ was my date, and dd, for the night. Thank god for that! I apparently had more to drink than I thought. 15 jello shots, 2 vodkas with a little bit of crcanberry, and a Washington apple shot later... I was sitting pretty. We left at around 130 and I passed out. It was a fun party though, surprisingly.

Monday we woke up at around 1130. We got brunch at IHOP before AJ had to leave =(. After that I pretty much camped out on my bed all day. DEFINITELY needed that.

Today I ran a few errands and FINALLY talked to Jon for a bit. I have work in a little bit. Woo hoo :rolls eyes:. I need to let Benedetta know that my last day is going to be the 23rd. I'm heading to Lakeland on Christmas Day and then driving home on the 27th. I MIGHT be flying out to Cali for MLK weekend. Jon can consider that his birthday present ;o).

In other news- Joe and I are no longer talking. Period. He finally went too far, as far as I am concerned. Confusing his dreams with reality, getting very irate over everything... Saying things that did freak me out a little bit. Josh gave him back his DVDs at Alex's graduation party. I was trash talked- awesome. Excuse me for spending time with my family for graduation. Whatever. I don't need drama like this in my life. Just when I think it's over, I find out he is IM-ing my friends. :shrugs: Again- Whatever. I am moving soon, albeit not soon enough, but then I can finally get away from dumb drama and start my life completely over with a blank slate. I CANNOT wait!

Well- this got long enough. Hoep everyone is having a great day!!
