Not just for cyclists

I was coming from the office on my commuter bike when I saw him. He was pushing his bike down Hwy 9, singing to himself as he went. Walking out of town, away from services, so I stopped to see if he was okay. Flat tire. 700c tube. I checked my bag and was stunned to find that I had a mountain bike tube, and I was rolling on road bike wheels. D'oh! I felt both helpless and foolish, so I apologized for being unprepared and had to let him keep walking, pushing his bike all the way down to Santa Cruz. I got home, showered, changed... and got the goddamn car and started driving down the highway slowly, looking for him. Five minutes later I met a new friend named Peetie and was driving him down to his job at the Saturn.

Do you want to help pay for Peetie's ride?
Next time you see someone who needs help, don't wait to be asked, just offer.
Tell them they can repay you by doing the same for the next person they can help out.
