To the attention of Mrs. Bee L. Zeebub,
solicitor for Mr. L. Morningstar,

To rejoin our discussion and rephrase your point, if a lucid dreamer strictly observes a scene without interacting or imposing their will, then you posit that a special importance can be placed upon the characters in the dream. If this is so, then it naturally follows that the dreamer in question should have an emotional reaction to them as they represent elements that carry emotional import to the dreamer and are beyond his control.

While we may agree on this point, it bears little relevance to my client's experience within this dream as he was not disturbed by the murder of the father or the devouring of the child in any way. The actual emotional impact was more akin to that of watching a house of cards tumble down; a mere disappointment at having to start the work over.

Furthermore, while we acknowledge our client’s past may lead one to make conclusions such as that which you have presented, we must note that our client has also had high levels of exposure to various animals who often react to stressful situations by consuming their young. We feel that this places the experience of watching a human (or inhuman) female cannibalizing her own newborn child within the realm of what our client’s subconscious would consider common and unremarkable occurrences.

In conclusion, although we acknowledge the power of your argument, we reject your assertion as lacking the emotional impact to validate it as a truth about our client’s perceptions of female humans.

Sincerely,

- Jack Inthagreen, Esq.
