Hello! I just got my husband diagnosed with morphology issues and I was trying to figure out what to do and read the WC IVF section and saw you and saw you were funny, so thought I would introduce myself.
I have a ridiculous journal where i post pretty things back on WC but really don't have much about me there. (felt weird after all the lurking etc and kinda in a "professional" job where my fertility would/could hurt my career..
well, anyhow, my DH has morphology issues with Krueger Strict of 4%! Can't believe my younger husband has issues! But anyhow, he does and we've been TTCing for a year. Finally worked up courage to go to fertility doc and he says "IVF" right away. wow.
so wanted to get any insight from you if you don't mind... here are some specific questions... a) dr has a small clinic and out of network so its 70% covered for me, and apparently i'm in NY so my drugs i hear are covered (although when i called the drugstore it seems like i'm half covered under united) My OBGYN referred me and his office is posh posh posh and he is nice. However, I'm wondering if i should go to one of the top IVF places in NY (Cornell/Weil) and try to find a 90% covered OBGYN as its a bigger place and its more covered. This RE says "i'm always available" "personalized attention" and the stats look similar. i'm 32 and no blockages, no nothing that we uncovered so far. I just don't know what to expect. He makes IVF sound like this one-two easy shmeezy thing but reading the board I realized its lots of roller coaster.. i asked him about all the side effects of hormones and he says its just exaggerated what I normally get. so if i normally get depressed before AF, then am I going to have exaggerated depression?
What do you think? Should I go elsewhere? Hope you can help. And any insight on should I IVF immediately would be nice.. If you want to find out more about me, i'm Ramada in WC under "Dream Luxury Journal" - well, i told you its ridiculous..
