Well tour started on Saturday night after I got off work from Mellow.
We tried to leave around midnight, but we ran into a few problems...
Before we left the 1 tire we had blew on the van so we started trying to change the tire only to find out that the jack was not tall enough to lift the van. So we figured let's go get a new jack. We went to Wal-Mart and of course on Sunday you can't buy a car jack or ponchos.
So we said fuck the system and went back to try again. It was about 3 AM at this time....we get the idea that if we let a little air out of the tire we can fit the tire on and drive it a block so we can put some more air in it. Good plan, good plan. Except the tire fell off the rim. So...now Shallow Palace was tireless and tired because it was about 7:15. Oh yeah...and we were weedless because we kept getting frustrated with our situation that we tore through a 1/4 bag.
So we slept and shelled out some money for a new tire the next day. Of course Tire Kingdom was the only place open so they ripped us 5 new assholes. But we got the tire on no problem and hit the road after that.
We made it all the way to Maryland in the cold and cramped van. MC and Greg stopped to fill up the tank and went to hit the road when all of a sudden the car just stopped and would not start again. Confused about our situation and worried that we weren't going to make it we checked out the problem and found out that MC had put gas into the wrong gas tank. Bummer. The van has 2 gas tanks, but only 1 is hooked to the fuel pump. Oddly enough a month ago Brett spray painted a "no" symbol on the correct gas tank before we even knew that that was the only one that worked.
So George and MC walked a few miles and we finally got back on the road towards our destination NYC.
Got there met up with our peeps Arthur, Keenan, Mark, and Annie and partyed til' no tomorrow because it was in fact New Years Eve!!
Woke up the next day hungover as a motha and rocked the few people that were at Parkside Lounge. We made money which is good and we sold merch to this wonderful couple whom I hope will read this blog. Thanks to everyone who came, thanks to The New Sabrosa and Robbers.
Onward to Asbury Park, New Jersey!!!
