There was a lot of spellcasting going on this round, so Janice had a second to spare to look over her shoulder. "Billy."

She sounded vaguely surprised, which to be honest she was; she'd started to think of office hours as quiet recreation time, and had nearly forgotten that students actually might come by. "Do you need something?"

"A lizard," echoed Janice. Most teachers in Fandom would take this pretty well in stride by now, but she still had that healthy distrust of teenagers. She reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a stapled handout, which she slid across the desk to Billy. "That's the outline there; you can catch up on the reading in the textbook. We covered Rome's First Triumvirate, but due to a, uh, malfunction there was a pie fight instead of question-and-answer sessions with Caesar and Brutus."

"Shop glitch," Janice said quickly, lest any of her students start to think she'd willingly give them something to do that was purely for fun. "Don't ask me why, but apparently they had pie fights in ancient Greece."
