Better do this even though I'm on hiatus as of today...
Hi! Pepper! =D Great! Anyway, my Tony muse is firmly based of the movie version (personality and history-wise) though I might be adding some comic-inspired plot developments (Sentient Armour and Alcoholism). As for what I have thought of for Pepper and Tony... It's very much what's said in the movie and the comics, Pepper corrected something and Tony hired her. It's strictly a professional relationship between them though Tony does have some sort of infatuation for her. It's not seriously, he's probably mistaking that for some familial "love" because she is seriously the only person he has "left".
I'm not exactly a Tony/Pepper fan, I'm more for comic canon, really, but if you want, we could pull out some sort of UST between them, just no relationship, please. Avid Happy/Pepper shipper and I can't see Tony and Pepper in that view.
However, Tony to the general public (and to his (former) company and employees) is generally thought to be dead, though Tony's by no means actually playing into the act or saying he is alive for the matter.

Hope that answers your questions. =)
