I Live in a Cave

May 19, 2008 11:39

I live in a cave, and I have a friend coming to visit with the intent of tooling around Washington DC for the day on Wednesday. What recommendations should I give her? (Specific ones -- I already know we have a ton of museums, but I'm looking to get detailed here.) Has to be during-the-day stuff, as the evening is already planned.

Thoughts?

Can't recommend enough the National Cryptologic Museum, but then, I'm a huge nerd.

What are her interests? Since there's a museum for everything that helps narrow it down?

Me? I'm a political junkie, so going to the National Archives to see the Constitution and other documents is like going into a church.

art-o-matic is always an option (edit: maybe not. it only opens at 5pm on wednesdays). eight floors of stuff to see, which could take up to three hours, if you're dilligent.
