About the Album
Twilight Tales was recorded with producer Stephen Barncard (Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills and Nash) at the legendary Prairie Sun Studio in Northern California. The sprawling open-air ranch was the perfect backdrop for Steel Train to explore their unique style of music that effortlessly flows from rock, country, bluegrass, funk, Latin, and jam. Steel pedal pioneer Gene Parsons (Flying Burrito Brothers, Byrds) and famed mandolinist Dave Grisman (Grateful Dead) are special guest performers on Twilight Tales. The lush album artwork by John Craig (Smashing Pumpkins) completely captures the whimsy of the recording and the beauty of the music.

ABOUT THE ALBUM
As people and musicians, THE TRACK RECORD prides itself on open mindedness and draws influence from popular music dating back to early jazz in the first half of the 20th century and extending to more contemporary genres such as rock, indie, hip hop, and emo. The group, who has been together for 2 years, is a pop band at heart that writes smart honest lyrics from topics as far ranging as love of cold weather to the effects of the media on self-images of teenage girls. The band believes that people from all walks of life can enjoy their music, which they call “philosophical pop.”
