[Dream 003 - City Pass Payment 2/2]
"You'll be able to hit a home run soon, promise!"
With that, the dream fades into a scene outside of a house. Haruko is watching a young boy--Nandaba Naota--practice his batter's stance.
"Yeah, yeah, that's the right stance," she says, "But you have to swing the bat!" She stands and grabs Naota from behind, helping him position his hands on the bat and making him blush.
"Hit it into the sky, don't hold back. Before he swings the bat, a real slugger imagines and arc inside his heart, arching directly to Heaven." She gently pushes his arms skyward, pointing the bat at a distant star. "There! That star'd make a perfect target."
"But it's all flickery," Naota says, "See?" As if on cue, the star flickers slightly.
"Don't worry about that. Just focus on the star, like it's a big red bulls eye." She readjusts the position of the bat (and Naota's arms) and continues with her lesson. "Imagine the arc, draw back, and...go!" As he swings the bat, she moves with him. It's a little awkward and doesn't have a lot of power behind it--probably because of how she was holding onto him, which would make flailing around a little hard--but she didn't bother to criticize.
"Perfect. You're a natural, Takkun! If you do that every time, you'll hit it right out of the park!"
Or even the galaxy, maybe.
