I have witnessed the world ending, and those here usually don't act in such a way. Reaction to events that occur is valid, however.

Showing your emotions; getting attached to people who could die at any moment doesn't do anyone any good. Why should I support that line of thinking?

Eventually the end result is the same for all, here or at home. What occurs before then matters, whether it is ultimately meaningless in the end or not.
