It was weird, she thought. Being quite, together with him. Arms around each other, standing still, feeling the heat radiating from the other but shivering from excitement, a cold chill shooting through their veins.
But it was now or never, and he pressed his hands against to pull her closer. She closed the distance between them, arms wrapping tighter behind his neck.
He could smell the sweet stickiness of the flower from her hair, and a hint of cinnamon. She thought she caught traces of of barley and musk.
"What about Roderich?" he asked her softly.
She pressed her forehead to his and closed her eyes. "I'm here, with you."
That was all he needed to know before he pressed his lips to hers.
