Suzaku stared at the two, open-mouthed and wide-eyed. The pizza box fell straight down from his hands to the floor, and the bag of drinks followed messily after it. Some of the soda leaked onto the cardboard box, but none of the three people in the room paid attention to it.
The shock was still too strong for Suzaku to speak, even after a minute and forty-eight seconds had passed. It was Nunnally who finally broke the silence. "Nii-sama... is that pizza I smell?"
Lelouch cleared his throat and straightened his posture. As he wheeled his sister to the nearby table he confirmed what she smelled. "Suzaku's come to visit." He turned off the loud music (had the singers been singing in Portuguese?!).
Instantly the blind girl's face lit up and she held out a hand for her friend. This brought Suzaku out of his stupor. As he crossed the room his friend met him halfway, brushing shoulders with him. Suzaku could see the sweat trickling down Lelouch's temples, and his breath was not quite back to normal.
"Say anything about this to anyone and..."
Suzaku shook his head quickly, interrupting the whispered threat. Lelouch smiled and clapped his hand on Suzaku's shoulder. "Good."
