My theory is that I am feeling overwhelmed by my assignments. I am not very good at science, especially chemistry and I am very bad at reading and understanding scientific papers. Anyway. That is not important. I can't remember when I've been less motivated-- oh, except for when I took organic chemistry. That was a similar disaster.

Uck, I have more interesting things to say I assure you. Well, potentially more interesting. Today I watched Lady in the Water and it was very different than any commercial I saw for it indicated. Why do they do advertise movies in misleading ways? I understand that certain audiences spend more money on movies than others and that marketers wish to reach those people, but it seems counterintuitive in terms of long run success. See, people who are expecting a thrilling horror story will be disappointed and less likely to recommend the movie to friends right. Then, people who would enjoy the movie aren't drawn in by the ads (like me and this movie, for example) so they don't go. Anyway, I know I have absolutely no business training but I don't understand it as a marketing strategy.

I just saw an ad for a medication treating bipolar disorder that had pretty bad side effects. One of the warnings was something like, "Please tell your doctor if you have uncontrollable muscle movements as they may become permanent." There was mention of impaired judgment and difficulty swallowing and glucose monitoring for those at risk of getting diabetes.

I am watching the episode of "I Love Lucy" in which Lucy gets a loving cup stuck on her head. I've never seen it before but it is one of those classic episodes. The scenario is pretty hilarious.
