Deep Thoughts

I found this discussion in a messageboard

Which movie is Shaq's TRUE masterpiece.

Kazaam, obviously

As classic as the free throw jokes in Steel are, I'm going to have to go with Kazaam. The concept alone makes it the greatest movie of all time.

Exactly, i mean, He made it rain cheeseburgers.
That scene is probably the most touching scene in any movie to ever grace the silver screen. The academy won't recognize it because most of them have Kobe's fists so far up their backside that they can't see straight. And the ones that dont are just racist, whatever.

While Kazaam is timeless entertainment, Steel has the unique stature of single-handedly sustaining Judd Nelson's career. If that isn't a miracle, I don't know what is.

I think Steel and Kazaam are two sides to the same coin. Steel representing the justice and protection that Shaq helps grant to us mere mortals, and Kazaam the understanding and sheer might of Shaq in all his glory. Obviously many of the themes embodied in both movies overlap, but for good reason. As these tend to be the ideas that most of us mortals need to be reminded of the most--and Shaq, being the ultimate that He is, knows this all too well.
Thank-you Shaq. Thank-you.

PS I'm learning a few new songs for Rumfest. Tell me when Yall can come. I'm thinking it should be Next Saturday...
