postin' at work. does life get any better than this? i think not. right now, i am sitting on a stool at ollie's rock gym in the mystic carousel center at the main desk, updating this thing and getting paid roughly $6.50 an hour. all you people out there who are searching for a good way to get some exercise this summer should come and check it out. if you just want to climb a couple times, it's only $5. If you want a day pass, equipment and a 10 minute lesson, that's only $20. you can come and go as you please. that's why they call it a day pass. 'cept the only catch is that if you want to "top rope" (climb the rock walls) you need to bring a buddy. you take turns belaying (holding the rope and making sure the person climbing the wall doesn't fall and hit the ground) and climbing (that's kind of self explanatory). and if you're not 18, you need a parent/guardian to fill out a waiver for you. click here to go to it. you can get one of their website and bring in all filled out and save yourself sometime. so it's really awesome and you get a free sticker for coming. yeah, so apparently some Teen Connecticut, ummm, Teens are coming in later tonite. god i love this place.
