i've learned a lot this summer
i've definetely learned a lot this summer through various experiences that i was lucky enough to be a part of. not just about myself, but also people in general.
~i've learned how to deal with a long line of whiny kids in the blistering heat.
~i've learned how to, and that i can climb a 25 ft rock wall in under 15 seconds.
~i've learned how to deal with a boss.
~i've learned how to work 9 to 5 and then rehearse 6 to 9:30.
~i've learned how to get into the DQ in niantic the back way.
~i've learned that there is only one entrance to "rosies diner".
~i've learned that i really have to step it up in the coming year if i want to stand a chnace to get into villanova.
~i've learned that like it or not, college is going to be here before i know it.
~i've learned that you have to drive a car through the drive through at the wendy's on colman street or you won't get any service
~i've learned that if you park cars in a circle in a parking lot of a restaurant late at night, you can have a picnic.
~i've learned that any picnic late at night in a parking lot will ultimately deteriorate into an ice fight.
~i've learned that when i park my car in the circle, i have to remember to put my windows up, or i am otherwise just asking for fries to be thrown into my car.
~i've learned that in order to make friends, all that i have to do is have fun and be myself.
~i've learned how to cha-cha.
~i've learned that even though a dance may seem amazing complicated and even if you think that it's never going to come together in time for a show, it will. and it will blow the roof off the house.
~i've learned that everytime there is an awkward silence in a conversation, a gay child is born.
~i've learned that if you really want something, all you have to do to get it is keep working at it and eventually you will get it.
~i've learned how to accept inevitabililty and move on from it.
~i've learned how to find the big dipper.
~i've learned that an orange moon does not guarantee good weather the next day.
~i've learned how to be a boyfriend.
~i've learned how you must enjoy something for as long as you have it and not think about how short that time may be.
~i've learned how to reach past my potential for something others can only dream about.
~i've learned how to multiply by 0.
~i've learned how not doing something in exchange for something else is not necessarily a bad thing.
~i've learned how to accept people's decisions, even if i may not agree with them and like them for other reasons still.
~i've learned if you walk around niantic backroads long enough, you will find where the sidewalk ends.
~i've learned that if someone can't get over something or someone and move on with their lives, the best thing to do is just let them feel bad for themselves and move on with your own life and eventually they will come around. mostly.
~i've learned how some people fake liking other people very well.
~i've learned that there is a time and a place for everything. including hooking up.
~i've learned that a lot goes on at 4 am.
~i've learned how it's a lot better to do somethings in person than by email.
~i've learned that i need to be a lot less stupid and recognize a set up when one is presented to me.
~i've learned you should never wear a white leotard and no bra.
~i've learned the being a gentleman actually gets recognized and pays off if you keep it up.
~i've learned that it pays off and can be fun to play rescue/taxi at 1 in the morning.
~i've learned that there is such thing as too large of a bonfire.
~i've learned that water CAN catch on fire.
~i've learned that i can run 6/10ths of a mile in the middle of the night, barefoot, on pavement, with only a towel and a bathing suit on and not get winded.
~i've learned how closing one door opens many others.
~i've learned to live, love, forgive and forget.
~i've learned that life is good and how to make it gooder for myself and for others.
~i've learned that summer is time make count.
~i've learned a lot and recognize that i still have a lot to learn.
thanks to everyone who made this summer one which i am never going to forget. i know lots of people say that every summer, but this summer was the kind you tell your grandkids about. "yeaaaaah, i 'member dat summer way, way back in '05. hooooooo-BOY was that a crazy good time. heh-heh!!"
