burgers, kookaburras and frypans

Bizarre day. My mother locked her ex-husband in a room with a wild kookaburra. However this was only because, and I quote, "The damn thing nearly killed dinner. If you want to eat? You'd have done it too."

Seeing my mother running screaming down the fall waving a frypan filled with burgers and an enraged kookaburra chasing her is an image I will not easily forget.
