In it are several of the so-called cat toys Feuilly made as he began knitting. These are mostly tidied and tied so that you might even be able to make out a vague mouse-head-and-body-with-tail shape. And tucked, quite securely at the bottom of the bag, is a gentleman's fan, clearly not newly made, but colourful and pretty and chosen with care.
There isn't a note because he fails like that.
