[Kevas is finally out and about although he's feeling just a miserable as before. His head is pounding, he goes from freezing cold to boiling hot, his body will start shaking at times, and for someone who's green everyday of the year he's looking awfully pale. At least he's moving though.]

This fucking sucks.

[That's all he says and that's all he ( Read more... )

[Jack's actually been doing a bit of map making- he's measuring things by using very large steps. Hanging off his belt is a bottle of amber liquid. Wouldn't be so hard to guess what that is. His hands, for the moment, are occupied with pen and paper. ]

[Oh look, one of his favorite people ever, and he's carrying liquor. That make this ever better. Perhaps if Kevas asks nicely he will share.]

Give me da fuckin' likah.

[Or he could just threaten him. That works too.]

[Jack reels and holds his hands up to his chest like a snake just struck at him.]

What?! No!

[You startled him there Kevas, and you're not looking very good at all.]

Weren't you- aren't you- I mean... supposed to be in your room?

[Shit.]

[Kevas might have given a witty remark if he were feeling better but he's not so he doesn't. Instead he just glares.]

Joo can hand it ovah or joo can pick joor teeth off da ground. Choose.

[If this what happens when one gets off the drink, then Jack will be staying upon it.]

There's plenty more! Over there!

[He points in the direction where the tavern is.

Away from him.]

[That's actually a logical thing to do. Too bad Kevas is too busy being irrational. Besides, Nel and Talia would be expecting him to do that. What they won't expect is for him to mug someone.

Also Jack is dumb so there.]

Wrong choice.

[Kevas jabs at Jack's face.]

[Oh.Shit. Pen and paper flies either way as Jack puts his hands up defensively and backpedals quickly.]

H-Hey! Now!

[Too close. WAY too close. The troll has the longer reach and if Jack turns tail and runs, he's sure that Kevas will have no problem catching up to him. Shit. This is going to hurt something fierce if he can't talk his way out of it. Or something. And FAST.]

No need for that, mate. Really!

[Talking his way out of this would require Kevas to be listening, and he's not. It doesn't matter to him how irrational this anger is, all Kevas knows is hurting Jack might make him feel better. It's not even about the liquor anymore.

Kevas swings again, this time for Jack's stomach.]

[Jack literally didn't see that one coming. Least not for his gut- as unprepared as he was, and with a far shorter leap than the length of Kevas' arm- he takes the shot to his gut.

The captain doubles over- ]

[As Jack doubles over, Kevas' knee rises upwards to meet the pirate's face.]

[-this just isn't Jack's day, is it?

Even though the captain knew it was coming, there was little he could do to avoid it- and knee connects with his face. Jack drops like a stone to the ground, seeing stars and groaning. Won't you give him a moment to collect his bearings again?]

[Not at all.

No Kevas won't because right now he is MADE OF RAGE not in a very good mood at all. He lifts Jack back up by his collar before driving his knee into the man's stomach.]

[That's an understatement.

Jack takes the knee to his gut now and the breath he was trying to gasp before- expels in one go. Blood from his nose, from the previous blow, splatters a bit with the force.

If Jack didn't do something quickly, he was going to be pounded into a pulp.

He throws himself forwards, using momentum and his body-weight in an attempt to tackle the troll. Or at least throw the green-man off balance.]

[Looks like the pirate actually has some fight in him after all. As Jack crashes into him, Kevas loops his arms around Jack's chest and falls backwards, heaving the pirate over his head as he does so.]

[If asked, Jack wouldn't say it was fight. More like strategical-forceful-retreat.

He wasn't expecting to be tossed into the air like a rag doll, though, and gives a startled scream as he flies very unceremoniously head over heels. The ground meets him in awkward angles and places.

Jack groans.

One hand is making futile grabs at the handle of his sword.]

[Kevas wouldn't call this a fight either. It's more like a beating.

Kevas is already getting back up when he sees Jack making a grab for his sword. That's not about to happen. Spinning around, Kevas falls back towards Jack to drop his elbow onto the pirate's stomach with his full weight behind it.]
