Outside my window... there is still a dusting of Asheville's first snow of the season
I am thinking... about my out of order bathroom, and how the plumber didn't show up.
I am thankful... for a warm, cozy albeit slightly chaotic home.
In the kitchen... I am enjoying a cup of hot black coffee (Starbucks dark Sumatra) and catching up on friends' blog entries.
I am wearing... lots of spandex: leggings, skirt, American Apparel purple deep V, striped cardigan and plaid scarf
I am creating... a blog entry, for the first time in months.
I am going... to my work Christmas party, which is scheduled from 7 PM to 2:30 AM. Not sure exactly what to expect.
I am wondering... what my last semester of culinary school will be like.
I am reading... Dead End Gene Pool by Wendy Burden (thanks Tracy)
I am hoping... that my secret Santa recipient enjoys my gift of a "hot guys with baby animals" calender
I am looking forward to... munchies and free booze with my co-workers
I am learning... about the lives of rich Americans. Also learning patience from present company.
Around the house... there is post-Christmas clutter, lots of recyclables, two naughty cats and a lingering scent of lavender pine-sol.
I am pondering... what our new housemate will be like. He moves in on January 10th, all the way from Kansas, and that will be the first time we meet in person.
A favorite quote for today... "I just ate raw meat." I cooked the venison a bit too rare last night. And I kind of liked it.
One of my favorite things... falling asleep next to Stevie.
