well, its definitely starting to feel like summer. not as much as i would like, because, well...living at home doesn't offer quite as much excitement, but whatever!
1) my job: two weeks in and im still really enjoying it. i can't believe some of the experience i'm getting, and some of the things i'm being exposed to. everyone i work with for the most part still appears decent, and there are a few that i like more than others, but we all get along and things are great. the judge exposes us to every single thing that comes before him so we really get to see all aspects of federal court...that and he may the funniest 82 year old man i've ever met.
2) long island: yeah, living on long island all summer isn't exactly ideal, but there are some nice aspects to it. it is quiet and relaxing, though i don't even really feel like i've relaxed that much since i've been home. but today is my first day of dogsitting/housesitting for our neighbors for the next three weeks so i am sorta stuck around here. but it is easy money and the puppy is cute, so its fine. and its living in my own house rather than my parents..not that it makes much of a difference.
3) things i've done: you know its summer when you have a million random hookups and the boys seem to be flowing in. well, okay, maybe thats not always true, but it's strange how i always go through some sort of "drought" and then they are overflowing to the point where i can't even handle it. i love it. i went to radiohead on wednesday with lara and the show was really good..not the best i've ever seen them but i think better than seeing them in illinois last year..id put it on the same level of awesomeness as the show in camden on that tour, which i thought was a much better setlist...anyways, i think the small indoor theater always makes for a better show than the larger outdoor place anyways. so that was fun.
4) boston: i got an apartment in boston, in the south end, and im really excited about it. i like the location a lot - its about a ten minute walk from school and close to lots of good bars and restaurants..i can't wait to be able to stumble home from the pour house so easily once again. that and im much closer to a lot of my friends, which always makes things nice. oh, and im living alone now rather than with a roomate, which there are a lot of benefits too but sometimes roomates are nice.
anyways..im tired and the beer ive been drinking is hitting in. thank god im so lame on a friday night, but i guess thats life.
