I was thinking. My favorite Fresh Prince of Belair episodes were the ones where Will learned a lesson, i.e. when Will Smith cried. Like the episode where he accidentally gives Carlton speed instead of vitamin E (Carlton had an unsightly pimple) and Carlton has to go the hospital. Uncle Phil is raging in the mansion about where Carlton could have gotten the pills, and Will said "he got them from me". He starts crying and begs Uncle Phil to forgive him. Another such episode is when an old friend of Uncle Phil's, now involved in politics, takes Will on as an intern. He asks Will to go on errand for him and deliver a briefcase to a judge. Will discovers thousands of dollars in the briefcase, but doesn't want to tell Uncle Phil, since Uncle Phil really likes and respects his old friend. In the end, Uncle Phil gets angry at Will for not delivering an important package for his friend, and Will becomes very upset and tells him the truth, whereupon Uncle Phil totally goes ape-caca on his old friend and apologizes to Will. Hug Hug. Lastly, there's the episode where Will and Carlton are mugged, and Will takes a bullet for Carlton. When Carlton later visits him in the hospital, Will finds out he has bought a gun for protection. Will becomes incensed and makes Carlton give him the gun, claiming, I saved your life, now give me the gun! It was very powerful. It ends with Will emptying the gun and the bullets falling on his hospital bed. You can tell that these were moving episodes, at least to me, since I remember them years and years later. Yeah.
