Rock City Fest! Day 1
I showed up to get my packet for Mas! intending to maybe duck out imediately after as a result of too much partying over the last day or so. I ended up staying to watch the Javlins at the Majestic. They were great. The new songs are excellent. One of the few bands I've heard sound good in that room. I then moved on to see Deastro. This kid is blowin' up. I've been saying he would for about a year or so, but I think we're there. He now has a full band and sounds the way he should. Seriously though, there needed to be a press section for the photographers. The whole first row was all photographers with huge camera equipment standing right in front of the stage, obscuring just about everyone's view. Pushing right past anyone trying to watch was also an agenda. Either way Deastro was, is , and will be great. Prussia was the last thing I saw. They were really wild and interesting. Two drummers who played spastic beats under loose Telvision type arrangements with noise explosions were a treat as I got ready to retire. No Wildcatting or Thunderbirds for me.
