Last weekend two operational WWII bombers flew into Venice, FL, the town where Anna and I live. A B-17 and B-25 were open to the public for tour during the few days the bombers were staged here. The group that owns both planes travels the country (by flying in the planes) and offers tours to the public for only $7. But for $350 - 400 you can take a flight in either one!
I'd choose the B-17, of course, but I can't justify spending that amount of cash right now with the wedding only 4 months away. But getting a chance to walk through these planes and get close to them was definitely a great opportunity.
