My, what a world to come from.

Court would be a governmental system used to basically decide what laws mean when there are disagreements between people. Most common case would be to decide whether or not a person accused of committing a crime is guilty or not. It's a noble task for the court to find the truth and bring justice.

Hooo... That sounds like a long, drawn out process... Would it not be easier to beat the guilty person into submission until they confess to their crimes? That is my favorite technique.

A straightout brute approach like that might seem easier at first, but in the long run... well, it's ineffective and uselessly cruel. If you were to beat a hundred people "into submission", as you say, it's likely that most of them would confess to the crimes committed by a single person.
